More Improvement at 2013 Convention in Bournemouth

The chorus is moving ever upwards. We felt we put in our best performance for many years at the 39th Annual Convention in Bournemouth and were delighted to achieve 20th place, out of 35. We upped our game but so did many others.

We are already looking forward to next year’s special 40th Anniversary Convention, in Harrogate, and are determined to get a position in the teens.

More About Us

October 2013
Four To The Bar achieved 6th place in the International Male Quartet section of the Annual Irish Convention of Barbershop Singers.

Emma and her quartet Northern Vibe were Bronze Medal Winners at the Ladies Association of British Barbershop Singers Convention in Llandudno. Go to Musical Director page to watch the video.

November 2013
Four To The Bar were placed 20th at the BABS prelims at the Birmingham Conservatoire, narrowly missing a place in the semi-fiinals.

The quartet competition was followed by the 2014 BABS Chorus Final Draw. As time went on it was beginning to look as though the Red Rose entry had gone missing somewhere. Eventually, the penultimate position (47) went to the White Rose Chorus with the Red Rose Chorus bringing up the rear at 48. It’s going to be a long day!
